thefashion-court The 25-year-old actress arrived at Barker Hangar for the big night in a Michael Kors sleeveless a-line metallic abstract dress, which comes from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection. The fit-and-flare design of the frock looks incredible on Ashley’s athletic figure, and I really like the thicker light gold belt used rather than the skinny one on the model.
This has to be one of my most favorite Kors collections in awhile; I’m a bit obsessed with the gleaming prints he created with these molten metallics. You may remember me selecting a similar strapless design in gold-and-navy for Ashley’s “Twilight” costar Nikki Reed on my Teen Choice Awards Wish List a few weeks ago.
With a pop of bright red on her nails, Ashley accessorized her dress in a complimenting manner. She’s wearing a pair of black platform open toe pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti with a sculpted shiny heel along with a black-and-gold “Boite de Nuit” minaudière by Roger Vivier and matching Isharya jewelry.
She finished off her look with natural looking make-up, courtesy of Vanessa Scali, and her ‘mane man’ Ted Gibson styled her lightened reddish tresses in a very sleek, center parted look. It’s one of the hottest hair trends this fall season!
thefashion-court.com The 24-year-old hit the blue carpet at Barkey Hanger in Santa Monica wearing a textured taupe gown from the Resort 2013 collection by Lela Rose. The sleeveless silhouette featured pin-tucking at the neckline and a knee-high slit at the side of the skirt.
Nikki added a silver metallic belt to the tucked waist with slight gathering.
I liked the simple elegance of this gown and the added metallic details were a nice way to brightened it up without using color.
Speaking of her accessories, Nikki piled on the rings — but, kept her earrings small. She wore a gorgeous pair of glittered platform “Sierra” sandals by Jimmy Choo and carried a matching crystal-embellished silver minaudière. These are the same sandals that I was totally gushing over when she wore last fall during the “Breaking Dawn: Part 1″ international press tour. I’m totally obsessed with these heels — and apparently Nikki is too.
She finished off her look by keeping her make-up subtle with pretty warm neutral tones, and her hair was loosely gathered into a chignon with straying face framing pieces. Nikki pulled this off effortlessly and looked beautiful doing so.
The 2012 Do Something Awards airs this Tuesday, August 21st at 9pm EST on VH1.
